The Video Club has announced its annual Short Dramatic Film Script Contest with a call
for scripts, seeking 10-to-20-minute dramas (may be comedy, etc.) to be submitted before the contest’s June 30, 2024 deadline. The selected script may be produced by the club’s Video One Productions team during 2024 for broadcast on Village Television, streaming on the club’s YouTube channel, and other possible distribution. Submission is open to all Village residents and members of Village clubs.
Five films in the club’s Short Dramatic Films series have already been produced since the program’s inception in late 2018, under the guidance of Dr. Tom Nash, Vice President, who founded the film school at Biola University in La Mirada, CA and ran it for many years before retiring.
Scripts should be on topics of interest to seniors, relatively easy to produce using locations within the Village as much as possible, and also using mainly 55+ actors. Scripts should also be in proper dramatic filmscript form and submitted prior to the June 30, 2024 deadline in PDF format by email to tomnash36@gmail.com.
If you have questions, call or email Dr. Tom Nash, 714-381-0781, tomnash36@gmail.com.
