Don’t miss the Video Club’s first fall General Meeting on Wednesday, September 11 at 6:30 pm in the Video Lab! You will learn about the Village’s dynamic new club, Community Bridge Builders, and how Village clubs can work together to achieve common goals. Speakers will be Rebecca Gilad, founder and president of Community Bridge Builders (CBB), and Willie Phillips, CBB First Vice President and Vice President of the African American Club. Their topic will be “Reaching Out with Community Bridge Builders.”

The event is open without charge to club members and to all Village residents and their guests. Refreshments and socializing start at 6:30 pm, followed by the program at 7 pm. The Video Lab is located inside Gate 12 between Clubhouse 2 and the pool. Note that ID is required at Gate 12.

Community Bridge Builders includes in its Club Vision: “…To promote respect, understanding, inclusion and community harmony among people of all backgrounds through dialogue, education, advocacy and cultural exchange.”
“One Song,” a joint effort by several hundred Village singers, was a major CBB project in March, 2024. Currently CBB is producing a dramatic video on “Agism” with Village TV. CBB founder Rebecca Gilad, orginally from Mexico, was a professional TV producer in Israel, where she met her huband, Ari. They live in Laguna Wood Village.
