Learn to Edit and Shoot Video with Five Classes Taught by Dr. Tom Nash

Starting Monday, March 3, 2025, five spring Video Club classes in editing and shooting video will be taught by Dr. Tom Nash (below), retired head of the film and TV program at Biola University in La Mirada.

PLEASE NOTE CHANGED DATES IN “SOUND” AND “STUDIO PRODUCTION” CLASSES BELOW. OLD DATES APPEAR IN THE FLYER.

Two 2-session weekly classes in use of the popular editing software for Windows computers, Corel VideoStudio, will cover basics (March 3 and 10) and advanced techniques (March 17 and 24). These will be followed by two 2-session classes in “Lighting” (April 7 and 14) and “Sound” (April 28 and May 12 — CHANGED FROM MAY 5). Putting shooting techniques together will be a 3-session class in “Studio Production” (May 19 and 26 and June 2, CHANGED FROM MAY 12, 19, AND 26).

All classes will be held Mondays from 10 to 11:30 am. Most will be held in the Video Studio (inside Gate 12 between Clubhouse 2 and the pool); however, the Corel video editing classes will be held in the Video Lab. Classes are $5 per session for members, $20 for non-members for the first session (includes 2025 club membership). No pre-registration is required. For more information, email tomnash36@gmail.com.
