Everyone has a story, including you, that deserves to be remembered, including moments that shaped you, adventures that changed you, and memories your family will cherish long after you tell them. People may forget facts, but they remember stories.
Video storytelling brings memories to life, preserving voices, expressions, and emotions that words alone cannot capture. Imagine being able to share your story with your children, grandchildren, friends, and generations you may never meet. Think about how many important family stories, vacation stories, and others have disappeared simply because they were not recorded.
The Video Club of Laguna Woods invites residents and guests to discover the art of storytelling at its General Meeting, Wednesday, March 18, 2026 in the Video Lab. Refreshments and socializing at 6:30 pm, program at 7 pm. Open without charge to all Village residents and their guests. The Video Lab is located inside Gate 12 between Clubhouse 2 and the pool.
During this engaging evening, you’ll learn simple but powerful techniques for capturing and sharing your story with confidence, using tools as simple as the smartphone in your pocket.
Video enthusiast ANDY JABLON will share and show how he “captured a story” using only his smartphone. Then a panel of Village resident storytellers, Lucy Parker, Charles Redner, and Nancy Klann, will offer tips on what makes a good story and how to tell YOUR story.
This is your chance to learn how to shape and share your memories, moments, and milestones into a story people will remember. Don’t let your stories fade away. This inspiring evening may be the first step toward capturing the stories only you can tell. Come learn how to turn your memories into stories that will last a lifetime.
