Join Us for A Tribute to Tom Nash on January 24

VIDEO STUDIO TO BE RE-NAMED IN TOM’S HONOR —
A plaque renaming the Video Studio as The Tom Nash Studio will be unveiled as part of a Tribute to Tom Nash, an event to be presented by the Video Club and Thrive on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 3 to 5 pm in Clubhouse 7.

The afternoon will include refreshments, a Tribute Video produced by Video Club President Jonathan Williams, the sharing of memories, and music by The Woods Combo — one of Tom’s favorite musical groups. Chairing the Tribute is Tom’s longtime friend, Susan Wheeler, a frequent co-host on the Video Club’s monthly “Beyond the Gates” TV series. Thrive Task Force member Cyndee Whitney, host of Village Television’s “Discovering Laguna Woods” monthly TV series, is organizing the event program, which will highlight Tom’s many contributions to Village organizations.

Tom passed away from natural causes on October 27. Before retiring in 2003, he was a founder of Biola University’s Snyder School of Cinema and Media Arts in La Mirada, where he taught radio, television, and film for over 25 years.

In Laguna Woods Village, Tom was the Video Club’s longtime Vice President, instructor, and inspirational guide. He was also a contributing member of the Thrive Task Force, a Past-President of the California Club, and active in Village dance groups. See the website post about his passing.
