ATTENTION, CLUB MEMBERS!
Good news!! The Video Club Board of Directors has extended the deadline for entries in the 2026 Annual Short Video Contest deadline from Friday, June 12 to Tuesday, June 30, giving you 2-1/2 more weeks to finish — and polish — your winning video.
Due to a vehicle accident that seriously damaged the Video Lab on December 2, 2025, the Video Contest and the 15th Annual Goldie Awards Banquet were re-scheduled from winter, 2026 to summer. (See new dates below.)
NEW DEADLINE
Entries will now be accepted in the Video Club’s Annual Short Video Contest until Tuesday, June 30, 2026, according to Gayle Clark, Contest Entry Coordinator. The contest is open to all club members. Entries must be member-produced and 4 minutes long or less. They should be cinematic (having qualities characteristic of video or motion pictures) and should tell a story. Entries must be submitted on a USB flash drive in MP4 format with a completed entry form.
Bring your entry and completed entry form to the Lab during open hours, Tuesday-Friday, 1-4 pm. For more information about entry procedures, Gayle’s contact information is on the Entry Form below.
GOLDIE AWARDS BANQUET
The 10 best entries, as selected by the Video Acceptance Committee, will be shown at our 15th Annual Goldie Awards Gala being held on Tuesday, July 7, at 5 pm in Clubhouse 7, where members present will vote to select the top three winners to receive Goldie Awards.

Need Help to Make Your Short Video A Winner?

President Jonathan Williams’ and Secretary Carolyn Allen’s “Tuesday Your Day” gatherings are coming to your rescue.
Learn > Do > Share > Enjoy!
Says Jonathan, “Join us in the Video Lab, Tuesdays from 10 am to noon. That’s where our Video mavens will help you turn your personal short video into Goldie-Award-winning quality. We want to encourage people to come to the Lab on Tuesdays for help, or suggestions, or simply to get past some obstacle that’s preventing them from finishing their video.”

Above, Goldie Award-winners were selected at a recent Banquet when members present placed their votes for the three best videos in bags representing each of the 10 entries.
