What Do You Know About the Video Club?

This post was taken from the Video Club’s newsletter, the Videogram of July 20, 2026. It provides an overview of what the Video Club has to offer members that you may have missed.  Plus, it describes on-going services and programs that you can be part of as a volunteer or as an avid video enthusiast.

The Tom Nash Studio, shown below, located in the building behind the Video Lab (between Clubhouse Two and Pool Two) is packed with professional-quality equipment and production areas where Club members produce their own videos or podcasts.

Have you visited  the Conversion Center (below)  in the Video Lab?

This area is furnished with equipment for converting (digitizing) legacy media (35mm slides, VHS tapes, mini-DV tapes, audio tapes, 8mm films, and more) to share with family and friends — and to store more safely and conveniently. Here Lab Supervisors help members — and all Laguna Woods Village residents — transfer personal slides, photos, video and audio cassettes,  and even old film into digital  formats. There is no charge for this service.

The Video Lab features both Windows and Mac computers equipped with video-editing and photo-editing software and is normally open from 1-4 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays. It is located  between Clubhouse Two and Pool Two.

PLEASE NOTE: During the summer, there may be a reduced schedule for Lab Supervisors, so if you want to be sure that someone is available to help you, please phone  949-2688-2263 during the above times before bringing your box of materials.
