Carmen Pacella’s iPhone rides steadily as he moves in for a close-up on yet another Chicago Club travel video for Village TV. His approach is simple, smooth, and personal. Learn how he captures travel subjects – and more.
Behind the video shooting and editing Carmen enjoys in retirement is a lifetime of graphic experience. He majored in photography, filmmaking, and commercial art at Pittsburgh’s Ivy School of Art in the 60’s. Later, he worked in global corporate sales and marketing of photographic and printing equipment.
As a retiree, Carmen says he’s “been having fun in Laguna Woods for the past five years.” In addition to chronicling the bus-travel adventures of the 600+-member Chicago Club, his hobbies include musician and guitar-maker in the Woodshop, where he volunteers as a shop supervisor.
He also shoots videos for Village organizations such as the Foundation of Laguna Woods and the History Center, where his wife, Dorothy, serves as a Trustee.
During his Video Club presentation, Carmen will show video clips and demonstrate his shooting rig. He will also be available for Q&A.
