Shooting Begins on ‘Twilight Time’ – Sixth Film in Video Club’s Short Dramatic Film Series

Casting is complete, a new director is in place, and shooting began on November 8 for “Twilight Time,” the sixth production in the Video Club’s Short Dramatic Film series.

The romantic comedy, written by internationally-known film/TV actor and Village resident Brett Halsey, won the club’s 2024 Short Dramatic Script Contest. It follows the budding (and bumpy) hate-to-love romance between a psychologist and a client at a rest home.

Carol Glenn (shown in center above, with cast members Paul Lambert and Barbara Attell) will direct “Twilight Time,” replacing Halsey, who stepped away as director for personal reasons. She is the president of The Old Pros and well-known to Village audiences for her acting and directing, She also helped produce several earlier Video Club films.

Paul Lambert, a former radio announcer and financial planner, will play Carl, the irascible psychologist. Barbara Attell, who performed in many popular TV shows during the 1970’s – followed by a career as a mom and wine merchant – will play Estelle, the unpredictable new client in his rest home. Both are Village residents and active in The Old Pros.

Others in the cast will be Esther Chun, Gregory Anderson, Mark Schwartz, and Sandy O’Connor.

Heading the Video One Productions crew, “Twlight Time” producer Gila Zalon has scheduled a seven-day shoot between November 8 and 15 at various interior and exterior locations within the Village. Executive producer Tom Nash will handle audio. Jack Crawbuck will be the director of photography.

“Twilight Time” is expected to premiere early next year.
