See below for a special NEW class from Wolfgang Kutter.
Starting Saturday, March 31, Dr. Tom Nash (left) will again offer his three-session class, “Introduction to PC Video Editing with Corel VideoStudio.” This class is the foundation for video-making — if you’re a PC user who wants to get those video clips off your memory cards and onto a big screen TV or YouTube where family and friends can enjoy your creative work. It’s also the foundation for building real videos out of 35mm slides, photos, old movies, and videotapes. Click here for flier.
Take this class if you want to make videos using your PC computer! Take it for review if you want to improve your skills.
Sessions will be held March 31, April 7, 14, from 10 am to noon in the Video Lab. No pre-registration required. $15 for members, $30 for non-members (includes 2018 club membership). Individual sessions $5. We expect to have three new computers up and operating and to have all Lab computers equipped with the latest VideoStudio X10 software – both purchased through our 2017 grant from the Golden Rain Foundation. Use a Lab computer or bring your own laptop, equipped with Corel VideoStudio X7 or later. For more information, contact Tom at tom@tomnash.net , 714 381-0781.
Tom will offer a follow-up one-session class, “Multi-Track Video Editing with Corel VideoStudio,” on Saturday, April 21, for those interested in undertaking more advanced projects.
TAKE THIS CLASS FIRST and get ready to edit!
Finding that many club members who come to him for help with Corel VideoStudio are “not too familiar with the project settings and preferences,” longtime Friday Lab Supervisor Wolfgang Kutter (below) has created a new class to help those who plan to take Tom Nash’s video editing class (above) or who already use VideoStudio. Wolfgang’s new one-session class, “How to Start A Video Editing Project,” will be offered on Saturday, March 24, a week before Tom’s class begins, from 10 am-noon in the Video Lab. During this class, Wolfgang will explain all the steps necessary to start an editing project using Corel VS and will introduce students to the basic settings. No pre-registration required. $5 for members, $20 for non-members (includes 2018 club membership). For more information, contact Wolfgang at wkutter7@gmail.com, 949-457-1259.
