The Video Club’s production team, Video One, has voted to continue meeting throughout the summer twice monthly on the 1st and 3rd Fridays from 1-3 pm in the Video Studio. Recent Video One projects include a video of the resident Woods Combo jazz group produced by Fred Harshbarger; two 30-second public service announcements (PSAs) to help seniors avoid scams produced by Bill Hemberger; a video for the South Coast Literacy Council produced by Starkey; and a video on “Grandmother Trees of Laguna Woods” produced by June Davis.
Other projects include a series of three short videos on the Village’s three writing clubs (the Writers Club, the Publishing Club, and the Spoken Word Club) produced by Charlie Redner; videos of Village softball and baseball activities and of the resident rock band, Rock of Ages, produced by Jim Rohrs; editing of the club’s 2018 Annual Short Video Contest entries by Suzanne Savlov (see related article); and shoots of the “Laguna Woods Stories” TV interview series produced by Dr. Tom Nash.
