The Video Club’s Fall-Winter 2018-19 Class Schedule offers 12 classes beginning September 14. No pre-registration is required. Topics include Video Editing for PC and Mac, Making Award-Winning Videos, Multi-Camera Studio Production, Introduction to YouTube, and Smartphone Video-Making. Four new classes will be offered this fall (and two of them are free!). They are “Producing Dramatic Video” with Dr. Tom Nash (free); “Improv Acting for the Camera” with Dr. Jeanne Mayer; and two new classes taught by Stephanie Brasher: “Getting Better Video with Your iPad and iPhone” and “Holiday Video-Making for iPad and iPhone” (free).
This fall, for the first time, the Learning Opportunities Committee is also issuing a list of 33 entry-level video-related classes offered by Lynda.com, a leading online training firm. You can access these classes FREE with a library card from the Orange County Public Libraries, available at the Laguna Woods Branch in Laguna Wood City Hall. Pick up our Lynda.com class list in the Video Lab or download it.
Classes are open to all Village residents at $5 per session, plus club membership fee for non-members ($15 a year for one person, $20 for two at the same address). Memberships for those who join this fall will extend through 2019.
