“Easy Movie-Making with Apple Clips” Starts May 6

Attention iPhone and iPad Users!

Not yet ready for iMovie or want to produce a simple or silly movie — perhaps as an unusual greeting card or to share with family and friends online? Then Clips is the app for you! Join instructor Stephanie Brasher for a repeat of her popular three-session class, “Easy Movie-Making with Apple Clips,” Monday afternoons, May 6, 13, and 20, from 1-3 pm in the Video Lab.

With Clips, you can stitch together photos and videos to create 1080 HD videos. You can easily add music, titles, voice-overs, animated text, and even convert your media into comic book form (as shown above). Clips is much different from iMovie, Apple’s widely-used video editing program, originally intended for Macintosh computers but now available on iPhones and iPads as well. Easier and faster than iMovie, Clips produces video in a square format like Snapchat or Instagram.

No pre-registration is required. Cost is $15 for club members, $30 for non-members (includes club membership). The Clips app can be downloaded on Apple devices running iOS 10.3 or later (using iPhone 5S or newer or iPad 2 or later).
