The popular Short Film Showcase series has resumed holding quarterly in-person meetings. The next session, Short Film Showcase #22, compiled by Starkey, will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022, at 1 pm in the Video Lab (on the second, rather than the first Monday due to the Labor Day holiday). A selection of dramas, comedies, documentaries, and animations will be featured, chosen to entertain, inspire, and motivate your own video projects. Group discussion led by Dr. Tom Nash will follow each video. Popcorn or Cracker Jack is usually served. The program is open without charge to all Village residents and their guests. Masks are required for those not vaccinated.

Short Film Showcase #23 is scheduled for Monday, December 5, 2022. During the early COVID shutdown, Short Film Showcase programs were offered monthly, but we have returned to our original quarterly with sessions on first Mondays in December, March, June, and September. Links to Past Showcase Films Available

Viewers of our Short Film Showcase series often ask for links to films they especially enjoyed. Others may want to revisit whole Showcase sessions – since each one was carefully curated by series founder Stephanie Brasher or Starkey, who now works with her. To that end, Stephanie has supplied a list of Showcase video titles available on this page of our club website.

Suggest A Video for SFS

Stephanie and Starkey invite interested attendees to submit the names and sources of favorite videos for SFS consideration. Videos must be under 20 minutes — and shorter is good. Send your suggestions to Stephanie at sjgardiner1@gmail.com.
