Friday, February 4 Is Deadline for Annual Short Video Contest; Goldie Awards Banquet To Be Held February 24

The Video Club’s 11th Annual Goldies Awards Banquet will be held Thursday, February 24, at the Village Greens 19 Restaurant at 5 pm, with a buffet dinner featuring chicken marsala and Alaskan cod and all the trimmings.. Click above to download an Awards Banquet Reservation Form. Space is limited, so make your reservation before the deadline, Monday, February 14. Entries in the Annual Short Video Contest Contest, approved by Video Acceptance Committee, will be screened. Members present will then vote to select top three winners, followed by presentation of the Goldie Awards.

There’s still time to enter the Video Club’s Annual Short Video Contest! Get your entry ready — and download an entry form above. The submission deadline is Friday, February 4, 2022, at 4 pm in the Video Lab.

RULES FOR SUBMISSION
1. Entries must be member-produced.
2. 4 minutes or less.
3. Entries should be cinematic (defined as having qualities characteristic of video or motion pictures) and
should tell a story
4. Must be submitted on a USB flash drive in MP4 format or in DVD format playable on a DVD player
(Blu-Ray OK).
5. One entry per person.
6. Entry-approval decisions of the Video Acceptance Committee (VAC) are final.

Entrant’s name in video is OK.

Help from other Video Club members is OK.

Avoid copyrighted material, if possible. If copyrighted material is included, problems may be encountered when including the video on our club YouTube channel with other contest videos.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSION
Bring your entry with completed entry form (click below to download a copy) to the Video Lab during open hours, Tuesday-Friday, 1-4 pm, and place them in the Video Contest Entry Box.
