Video Club Offers 11 Classes During Winter-Spring 2018

The Video Club has issued its Winter-Spring 2018 Class Schedule listing 11 classes on topics ranging from animation, video editing for Mac and PC, producing videos, video performance techniques, making and editing videos on smartphones, and using YouTube. Two new classes are included in the line-up. No pre-registration is required. Click on the above link to view and/or download the schedule.

New Classes

Dr. Tom Nash’s 3-session class, “The Role of the Producer,” canceled twice last year, first due to illness and then due to a scheduling conflict, will be held on Saturdays, March 3, 10, and 17, detailing the behind-the-scenes management that “makes videos happen.”

A new 1-session class on Saturday, March 24, designed and taught by Wolfgang Kutter, “How to Start A Video Editing Project,” will prepare students for Dr. Tom Nash’s essential 3-session class, “Introduction to PC Video Editing with Corel VideoStudio,” which will start Saturday, March 31. Wolfgang’s class will familiarize students with the steps necessary to begin a video editing project and is also recommended for review by those already using Corel VideoStudio.

Classes are open to Video Club members. Non-members are invited to join the club at the first class meeting or in the Video Lab, open Tuesday-Friday, 1-4 pm. Membership in the Video Club costs $15 a year for one person, $20 for two at the same address. In addition to classes, members can earn certificates in the use of Video Studio equipment (cameras, audio, and switcher) and/or schedule individual coaching sessions on specific video topics.
