The next Video Lab Supervisors’ “Round Table” will be Monday, September 24, from 10 am-noon in the Video Lab, according to Lead Supervisor Wolfgang Kutter. Many thanks to these loyal workers who keep our Video Lab open Tuesday-Friday, 1-4 pm, serving Village residents with a wide range of video-related projects!
Current Supervisors are Bob Kulpa (Tuesdays), Betsy Martin and Andy Cullinane (Wednesdays), Lucy Parker and Jim Rohrs (Thursdays), Wolfgang Kutter and Marcia Berman (Fridays), plus Norma Benner and Lisa Aoki (substitutes). Betsy Martin and Lucy Parker now manage the Video Lab’s consumer camcorder loan program, so, whenever possible, equipment should be borrowed and returned when one of them is on duty – Wednesdays or Thursdays. Rental is free, but a deposit is required.
Topics to be covered at the upcoming Round Table will include discussion of a list of key software installed on all Lab PC computers, prepared by Marcia Berman; updates on equipment instructions, prepared by Jim Rohrs; a demonstration of our new Wondershare file conversion software on both PC and Mac Lab computers, conducted by Lucy Parker; and resolution of various software and hardware issues.
If you enjoy using and sharing equipment and would like to help residents access the many benefits of video, volunteer to be a Lab Supervisor one afternoon a week! This is one of the most rewarding jobs in the Video Club, which explains why some Supervisors have served for so many years. Training is available.
