All Video Club Activities Canceled Until April 12

With the closing of all indoor GRF facilities until April 12, 2020 as a coronavirus precaution, all Video Club activities within that time period have been canceled, including the March 19 Open House and Premiere of “What? You, Too?” — the club’s second short dramatic video. This event has been tentatively re-scheduled for Thursday, May 21, at 6:30 pm in the Video Lab. Missed sessions of classes currently in progress will be re-scheduled by their instructors. Classes scheduled to begin (“Telling Stories with Your Smartphone,” 4 sessions starting Friday, April 3, and “Easy Moving-Making with Apple Clips,” 3 sessions starting Monday, April 6) may be re-scheduled. BACKGROUND:
Video Club activities take place in the Video Lab and Video Studio operated by the Golden Rain Foundation (GRF) and located between Clubhouse 2 and Pool 2. The following notice was taken from the Laguna Woods Village website:

MARCH 12, 2020
In accordance with guidelines announced today by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), effective immediately, Village Management Services (VMS), under the authority of the boards of directors of the housing mutuals and GRF, has canceled all indoor recreational activities and events. This is a precautionary measure based on the current COVID-19 situation. These measures are in effect immediately for 30 days, at which time the situation will be reassessed.

At this time, all clubhouses and indoor recreation venues will remain closed.
