Publicity Director Lucy Parker’s recent plea for help in mounting and announcing a Video Club plaque at Clubhouse 1 drew a positive response during the April 5 meeting of Video One Productions. Bonnie Beaux Fullerton and Leon Goldberg, both longtime club members, jointly volunteered to handle the job.

Club Plaques at CH1 12-2-18Unlike many other Village clubs, the Video Club has never had a plaque in the colonnade fronting Clubhouse 1 (left). The plaque (pictured above), which matches the one on the Video Lab podium, was presented to the club on January 17 at the 30th Anniversary Open House, but has yet to be mounted and unveiled to the community. Shortly after the Video One meeting, Bonnie had already talked with CH1 officials about the plaque.

Mounting, unveiling, and announcing the plaque are part of the Video Club’s 30th Anniversary festivities, according to President Steve Carman. A second “club history focus” during 2019 is to place the club’s archives with those of many other Village clubs in the History Center, Steve said, where they will be preserved and available to all for years to come.
